MALAYSIA’S MYGOV APP HITS 2.2 MILLION USERS; UNVEILS SHOCK FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 LIVE STREAMING IN MAJOR DIGITAL LEAP
KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2026 - More than 2.2 million Malaysian citizens now use the MyGOV App. This milestone highlights the Ministry of Digital’s ongoing efforts to enhance the nation's digital government ecosystem.
The platform consolidates integrated government services, with new features added progressively. This rollout supports public sector digital transformation and strengthens overall digital readiness.
Growing Digital Government Ecosystem
Since its launch in August 2025, the MyGOV App has consolidated 51 services from 19 government agencies into a single platform. To streamline digital service delivery, the app progressively integrates functions from major systems like MySejahtera, MyJPJ, PriceCatcher, Portal Manfaat, and Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR).
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the app will introduce on-the-go match streaming. Users registered with MyDigital ID can access these live broadcasts on their mobile devices alongside traditional streaming platforms.
“The MyGOV App reflects the MADANI Government’s continued efforts to improve how Malaysians access digital services. As usage continues to grow, the platform is being progressively enhanced to support scalability, performance, and user experience improvements.
The long-term direction is to expand the ecosystem of services in phases, ensuring that integration is sustainable and aligned with user needs and system readiness. This includes improving access to information on government services and benefits over time,” said Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital.
Driving Malaysia’s Digital Economy and AI Goals
Developed under Malaysia’s national digital transformation agenda, the MyGOV App focuses on modernizing digital public infrastructure, improving system interoperability and expanding nationwide digital adoption.
These efforts support Malaysia’s long-term aspiration of becoming an AI Nation by 2030, where digital systems are more integrated, efficient, and capable of delivering a more seamless and citizen-centric experience for the rakyat.
The rapid evolution of the MyGOV App aligns with the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MDEB), designed to eliminate bureaucratic silos through robust data interoperability and unified public infrastructure.
YBhg. Datuk Fabian Bigar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital, stressed that this infrastructure is vital for the country's next technological frontier.
"A connected government is a prerequisite for an AI-driven future. By unifying fragmented agency platforms under the MyGOV ecosystem, we are building the clean, interoperable data foundations necessary to deploy scalable Artificial Intelligence. Our ultimate blueprint is to transition from reactive public services to predictive, highly personalised citizen experiences, firmly securing Malaysia’s trajectory toward becoming a leading AI Nation by 2030," Datuk Fabian stated.
The MyGOV App, a flagship initiative developed by GovTech Malaysia under the Ministry of Digital, is a dynamic platform engineered to drive Malaysia’s long-term digital transformation. Designed with the future in mind, the app will evolve through continuous updates, delivering an increasingly seamless and progressive digital experience for all Malaysians.
