REALISING MADANI ASPIRATIONS: THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL IMPLEMENTS THE RM1 MILLION KAM PROJECT IN KAMPUNG PIASAU UTARA.
MIRI, 9 DECEMBER 2025 – The Ministry of Digital today handed over the MADANI Adopted Village Project (Kampung Angkat MADANI-KAM), valued at RM1 million, to the residents of Kampung Piasau Utara. The ceremony was officiated by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital, YBhg. Tuan Fabian Bigar, in an official event held at the village’s Multipurpose Hall.
The project encompasses various enhancements to basic infrastructure and community facilities, including repair works for Masjid Darul Hijrah, Holy Rosary Chapel, as well as the Kampung Piasau Utara Multipurpose Hall, which serves as the centre for local religious and community activities.
The installation of LED solar lights was also carried out along several main routes in the village to ensure better illumination at night. In addition, a new funeral van has been provided to facilitate the management of death-related arrangements, while support equipment for the Village Development and Security Committee (Jawatankuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung-JKKK) was also handed over to strengthen local administration and community activities.
In his speech, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ensuring balanced development between urban and rural areas, in line with the Government’s MADANI aspirations. He also highlighted the organisation of the AI for MyFuture course on 8 December 2025, which aims to provide early exposure to residents on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
He also expressed his hope that these new facilities will be fully utilised by the residents, and ultimately serve as a catalyst for improving quality of life and strengthening community cohesion. This KAM project is expected to serve as a catalyst for more dynamic and sustainable socio-economic development, in line with the digital transformation agenda in rural areas.
