MINISTRY OF DIGITAL TO PROVIDE AID TO THOSE AFFECTED BY PUTRA HEIGHTS GAS PIPELINE BLAST

The Ministry of Digital will provide assistance to those affected in the recent gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, Selangor.

During my visit to the temporary relief centre (PPS) at Masjid Putra Heights this morning, I was informed that digital devices of many victims were either lost or damaged in the incident.

As such, the Ministry of Digital will provide 100 laptops, 100 tablets, 100 smartphones and 500 power banks to victims who are in need of such devices.

Applications for these devices can be made, starting today, through the service centre of the ADUN for Kota Kemuning, YB S. Preakas.

MyDigital Corporation, an agency under the Ministry of Digital will also work closely with the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) and the Selangor Menteri Besar’s office to provide an online platform to ensure there is clear information and timely updates for the victims.

I also take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to all who have worked tirelessly to help those affected in this incident.

The Ministry of Digital, and its agencies, will continue to work closely with those affected in the incident. It is our sincere hope that those who were injured will recover safely, and those who suffered losses will receive the necessary assistance to help them during this trying time.
