MINISTRY OF DIGITAL SECURES INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AT THE FESTIVAL OF INNOVATION 2026

PUTRAJAYA, 6 MARCH 2026 – The Ministry of Digital, through its agencies the National Digital Department (JDN) and the National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO) has achieved a proud milestone on the global stage by securing prestigious recognition at the GovInsider Festival of Innovation 2026 held in Singapore.

This year’s edition saw fierce competition with 270 entries from 120 government agencies worldwide. This success reflects the Ministry of Digital’s steadfast commitment to strengthening the artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem and driving responsible technological transformation in Malaysia.

Key Achievements of Agencies Under the Ministry of Digital

The Ministry of Digital was recognized across several key categories, highlighting excellence in public service delivery:

•Inter-Agency Award Winner: Won by JDN through the MyGovCloud@PDSA initiative, a high-impact project focused on streamlining cloud infrastructure across government agencies.

•Special Mention – AI-Ready Award: Jointly awarded to NAIO and JDN for the AI@Works initiative. This recognition highlights the Malaysian public sector’s readiness to adapt AI technology ethically.

•Special Mention – Digital Government Award: Awarded to JDN for the Malaysia Government Central Data Exchange (MyGDX) platform, recognizing efforts to empower integrated national data sharing.

Furthermore, NAIO was shortlisted as a finalist for the Transformative Agency of the Year Award an achievement that places agencies under the Ministry of Digital on par with the world’s leading innovation agencies.
