PRESS RELEASE
MSME GRANT DELAY SOLVED FOLLOWING MINISTERIAL INTERVENTION
PUTRAJAYA, 8 May 2026 — Disbursements under the Geran Digital PMKS MADANI (GDPM) have been completed following the Ministry of Digital’s intervention to address payment delays affecting participating companies.
The Ministry of Digital worked in close coordination with the Ministry of Finance to expedite the settlement of all outstanding claims. I am pleased to confirm that all payments, totaling RM19 million, were successfully credited to the respective companies through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
GDPM, a Budget 2025 initiative, is a cornerstone of the government’s push for digital adoption among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The programme involves over 370 digitalisation partners (DPs) providing solutions across nine critical areas, including e-invoicing, AI, cybersecurity, and digital payments.
The Ministry of Digital reiterates that its priority is the swift and efficient delivery of allocated funds. These efforts reflect the MADANI Government’s commitment to resolving immediate operational hurdles while building long-term confidence among MSMEs and industry partners in the nation’s public service delivery.
This resolution underscores the government’s broader mission to ensure no local business is left behind as Malaysia advances toward its goal of becoming an AI Nation by 2030.
